The meeting code is being sent to all families via email in the afternoon on May 12. If you do not receive this message from the school, please email bloordaleparents@gmail.com and it will be forwarded to you around 5pm.


It will be so easy to get to since you don’t even have to leave your home!

Even though we are not in the building right now, it will be a problem one day soon so lets get it fixed once and for all and work together to let the City know that 

WE NEED SAFE CROSSINGS FOR OUR KIDS!


We are not in the same place right now and many of our kids are having a rough time but we can all help each other and get through to the end of this VERY rough year and . If you have ANY questions about the end of the school year or remote/virtual learning, please feel free to us this meeting as a place to find answers. Remember, if we don’t have an answer for you right away, we will find you the answer!

Calls To Action - Truth and Reconciliation Sept 30

This week, Thursday to be exact, our country recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.   This week each day on the blog we will provide resources you and your family can use to better understand what this day means and why it is needed. Many of us are only learning in recent months and years about the atrocities that occurred to our Indigenous communities over the past 155 years and beyond.  Today I am leaving the link that provides the document that contains the 94 Calls Of Action that were developed by the TRC (the Truth and Reconciliation Commission) in 2015. Even at that time many Canadians did not know about the work being done and only as the discoveries that were made this summer and those that continue to be made has these calls come back to light. Not The Year We Expected .....

Well, what a year 2020 is turning out to be, one we will never forget and one that our kids will tell tales of to future generations. But while we are able to one day tell stories of this time, many are still trying to come to terms with this new way of life. It is not easy and for many it is down right scary, if you need any help at all, you can reach out to your extended Bloordale family at anytime :) The TDSB has so many links at your finger tips to help you get started in finding help where you need it; from online learning to mental health, the website has got you many starting points. From one parent to another, you know your kids and if you can see that they are having trouble adjusting to the new school norms, reach out to your child's teacher; we are all in this together and this is new and unprecedented for all of us :) Looking for some online resources, the TDSB website may have what you need.
