Fall Fundraising Campaign

We have two ways to help us reach our goal this year!  Families may choose to take part
in any of the Fundraising options and we thank you for your support and look forward to a
fantastic school year!

1.  PRODUCT FUNDRAISER
This year we are running the cookie dough sales again and this campaign will also includes a
number of additional yummy items that may be of interest to your family and friends.
The catalogue and order sheet have gone home with students but you can preview the
items here https://www.macmillans.ca/media/1433/classic-brochure-2019.pdf

The online pdf can be downloaded and printed if you need another copy to place orders.

This campaign starts November 20 and closes on December 4.

Products you purchase will be delivered on December 18 to the school and will be available
for pickup at the end of the school day.  We ask that every effort be made to pickup your order.
If this is not possible, please make arrangements for someone to get your order for you.

2.  DONATION
Many families told us that purchasing/selling products was just not for them but they still
wanted to support the initiatives by just making a donation.  You can make a donation using
School Cash Online’ or return the bottom portion of this form.  * ONLINE donations of $20.00
or more are eligible for a tax receipt.  If you use the online option, please type: PARENT
COUNCIL FUNDRAISER in the “message” section.

Where does the money go?  Last year we used the profits to fund Scientist in the Class
as well as purchasing much needed new technology for each classroom!

Do you have questions? You can email us at bloordaleparents@gmail.com and you

Calls To Action - Truth and Reconciliation Sept 30

This week, Thursday to be exact, our country recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.   This week each day on the blog we will provide resources you and your family can use to better understand what this day means and why it is needed. Even at that time many Canadians did not know about the work being done and only as the discoveries that were made this summer and those that continue to be made has these calls come back to light. Our kids are learning in the classroom; as parents and caregivers we have a responsibility to learn and understand and act too! Today take a few minutes to begin reading the Calls To Action and tomorrow I will have a

Not The Year We Expected .....

Well, what a year 2020 is turning out to be, one we will never forget and one that our kids will tell tales of to future generations. But while we are able to one day tell stories of this time, many are still trying to come to terms with this new way of life. It is not easy and for many it is down right scary, if you need any help at all, you can reach out to your extended Bloordale family at anytime :) The TDSB has so many links at your finger tips to help you get started in finding help where you need it; from online learning to mental health, the website has got you many starting points. From one parent to another, you know your kids and if you can see that they are having trouble adjusting to the new school norms, reach out to your child's teacher; we are all in this together and this is new and unprecedented for all of us :) Looking for some online resources, the TDSB website may have what you need. To help you navigate, here are some specific links on the TDSB Website:
